Arthroscopy of Other Joints

Occasionally arthroscopic surgery of the elbow, ankle, and wrist is performed. Most commonly loose bony bodies (joint mice), inflamed synovial tissue, and diseased articular cartilage are removed during these procedures. As with the shoulder and knee, arthroscopic surgery is only employed after all other reasonable non-operative treatments have been exhausted.
